My daily prayer...

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

It has been another great weekend! Jeff has been off since Thursday night and goes back to work on Monday morning. But his 2 week vacation starts on Father's day! We just watched Evan Almighty...it was a great movie! We got up early this monring to go to the Farmer's Market in North Tonawanda...We love to do this when Jeff has off...then we went to the one in Williamsville...we saw Gen, Monte and Aidan...it was nice to see them! The weather held out for us to go to one more...Bidwell Market. It is so nice there too! I think when Jeff is off we are going to go there then walk the Elmwood Village Neighborhood. We love it down there. Buffalo is really a great place to live! I would not want to live anywhere else!

This week looks like the weather is going to get warm...Thursday it is going to be in the 80's! So we are going to get Julian in the Pool! My father is already excited about it! You know picutres will be posted!!!

A trip to Lowe's

So we went to Lowe's last night and as we were walking in Jeff said to Julian..."this is where you are going to spend most of your adult life...daddy loves Lowe's!" We laughed and I said who are kidding...his entire life will be spent here! Then we made a trip to Hi-Way for plants...you would have thought that they were giving things away! Well...Mommy was not prepared! No Stroller!!! UGH!!! So we thought we saw a crat for kids...so we carried our 25 lbs. baby in and searched! Well after 20 mins, we found some young girl who went on a hunt for it! Low and behold she found one! Well, then we forgot the cover for the cart! UGH!!! SO I did my bet to kepp him from sucking on the cart...YUCK!!!! Anyway....when we got in line, this family, they had 2 of the cutest kids...I had seen them before. So since we were in line with 100 other people we started to chat...don't you know the kids were STAR babies!!!! We all got excited and it opened up a very comfortable conversation! The kids played with Julian and it was fun! By the time I got home, I put him to bed and fell on my face in bed!

Today we went to visit Nana and Papa at their office...then we visited some friends, went ot BRU and then he fell asleep in the car...now what do I do? I had to wake him up, get him changed and put him down for a nap...it has taken him 45 mins to fall back to sleep...now it is quite upstairs and I can get somethings done here. Have a great day!

Tomorrow, we are going to see Nana and Papa and then go flower shopping! LOVE Flower shopping! Sunday we will do some planting then go to a Communion for our friend's son. Great fun!

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

These pictures aren't great, but I wanted to post some of him. Please note the one sock on and one sock off. He does that in the exersaucer all the time...it cracks me up!
So today, I decided to stay home with Julian. The wonderful thing about my job is I don't always have to go to work. Julian had been at my parents house on Monday, monday night and all day on Tuesday...man do I miss him when he is not home. But I had a very busy day at work on Monday and Tuesday and my parents love to have him over night. He is now sleeping on his belly most of the time. His butt is up in the air...too cute! He is going from back to front all the time and looks like he is going to crawl anyday! How exciting! The weather has been so darn cold. We have still be going for our daily walks but I hate to put mittens on his hands in MAY!! We had warmer weather in April then May this year! Right now Julian is on the floor watching Sesame Street...he gets bored so he plays with his toys too. He said Nana yesterday...so now we are at mama, dada, baba and nana. Not bad! We are working on finger foods, but I will admit...the whole gagging thing freaks me out! He had a few little peices of Banana this morning. He loves his Yogurt...I think he could eat that all day! He is still using his Exersaucer...only now he is spinning in it...as fast a she can and he thinks it is so funny!

We have busy weekends coming up...this weekend, I am taking off on Friday till Monday, on Sunday we have a party to go to. Our dear friends son is making his communion, so it will be so nice to see all of them and the kids. I think there will be around 20 kids there! So much fun! and Next weekend, his buddy Devin is turning one so we are going to that party too. Daddy is off all weekend too. I think we are going to do alot of gardening, getting the yard ready. Oh on Memorial Day, it is the Kenmore Parade...so much fun!!! After, I am sure our friends will be over with all the kids. Man how times change.

Let's go outside...

PLEASE!!! Well since those 3 teeth have started to make their debut...Julian and Mommy find quiteness outside! For 9 blissful months we have had the happiest baby on the block...until now! These darn old teeth! SO we tried Motrin...well, it worked, but made him very sick...to his stomach...so it is back to the good old Tylenol. He is back to the old Julian and we are so happy to have him back! He is such a good boy...loves to eat, sleep and play! SO last night, daddy had a cookie order he was finishing, so we went out side for some fresh air, birds and trees. So here is a picture of our boy...Gosh I just love him!

So tired...

were you ever so tired you thought your eye balls would fall out? That is how I am feeling tonight! I have been on the darn computer taking compliance classes for work all day! I have 3 more to complete...UGH! It was a nice day at home with Jules. He had a rough end of the night last night. Teething something terrible! He has 4 teeth coming in now, poor baby! It seems he wants to stay up later too! He now goes down around 8:15-8:30pm. I had to go to a wake today for a friend who lived on our street. She battled Cancer for 5 years. My last memory of her was when Julian was not even 2 weeks old and I was walking down the street and she came running across to see us. She hugged me and told me how happy she was for us. 2 days later she had a stroke and had to go off chemo and she passed away on Saturday. She was a very sweet and kind lady, and always had a smile on her face. She was like a ray of light. She will be missed!

This weekend is our planting weekend for our street. We have this wonderful center medin that we take care of. It is always a great day! Hope the weather is good. Well I am off to bed...so tired! Hugs

Mother's Day Brunch at The Roycroft
Happy Family!

Always so serious with Papa

My 3 guys

Papa, Julian and Nana

PS...I forgot to give and update on Julian...he is in perfect health...he weighs 25 lbs. and is 30 1/4 inches long! Oh my aching back! He is cutting 3 teeth currently...2 on top and one on the bottom next to the 2 already up! Crawling is in the horizon!!

Happy Mother's Day...

As I sit in my dining room listening to the sounds of a baby laughing, I have to say this is in the top 3 best days of my life. Last year at this time I was giving my testimony of being the childless mother in a group of 5 women speaking at my church. I thought on that day that I would be able to touch someone, maybe who was thinking about adoption, or maybe someone who had just suffered the loss of a baby. Little did I know that in 2 short weeks later that we would be matched, and 72 days I would be a mother. These past 9 months have flown by, I wonder where the time went, from the day where my baby boy would sleep on me for hours...now he wants to jump on me for hours...my legs have bruises to prove it! I have cried for the last 3 days, thinking about this day and what it means to me. It isn't just mother's day for me but it is the ending of a long chapter, one that has many pages and finally I can finish that one and let a new on begin. I know that this isn't just special for me in my family, but it is also so special for my mom. She has walked in my shoes, many years ago. Now she is a grandmother to a special baby. Adoption for us is a small part of our life. I don't want it to be all consuming, always talked about. Julian will know that he is special in his own way, just like other children, only he is our chosen child...hand pick by God. For this is the baby I prayed for. Every night before I went to bed, before and during our match, I prayed over the crib. I prayed that our baby would come home safe and in the lords time not mine. We had the crib up for about 6 months. Every night, faithfully I prayed and prayed. Now I pray that my son sleeps good and is there when we wake. I must check on him 4 times a night if not more. I think I check to make sure that this is for real and not a dream. Life has been good to me. In many ways, He tested my faith for years. Years before I met Jeff, Years while Jeff and I were trying to have a family and I think even now he tests my faith him HIM. Evil still lurks, but keeping my faith strong, there is no way that evil can hurt us. But that is what keeps me on my toes. SO much has changed in a year. Friends have come and gone, and new ones made. I Love you all! For those who are enjoying their first Mother's Day...ENJOY! For those who have been mother's for a long time...ENJOY! Just enjoy! For those who's babies are not home yet...they will be...keep your faith strong, don't let evil in...keep your faith and it will happen! Just look around! God bless...hugs and kisses...I will be posting pictures in a few hours!

MIA...

Yes...I have been MIA! Trying to take a break from it all. Spending more time with Julian and Jeff. It has been a busy few weeks with work and life in general. So I wanted to post a couple of recent pictures of our presious baby! He melts my heart most of the time! He is now saying Mama and Baba...rolling all over...and he cut a few more teeth...I think a few...I know of one when he bite down on my finger! OUCH! So we will see later this week.
I have been a bit sad too...I can't believe that our baby is going to be 9 months! Where has the time gone? Last year at this time, we were being profile for 3 babies...2 ended up with CPS, the birth mom left the hospital without letting anyone know and then on May 29...one of the happiest times of my life...we were told we were chosen! For the next 72 days...we waited...I will tell our story more as the month goes on, so please keep looking. Meanwhile please stay safe...hugs and blessings.
