Old Man Winter...

is here and he is pissed!!!! We woke up last night at 3:30am to the horrible sounds of the wind! 70 mile and hour winds!!!! (Are you kidding me???!!!) We knew it was coming, but the weather men are so wrong most of the time...we not this time! We have had some proerty damage...shingles from our roof have come off and our new fence has been damaged by the wind...UGH! But we are all safe and that is what matters the most. Mom and dad are fine and so is Jeff's mom and his sister and my grandmother. Julian is a champ and slept until 8am! He amazes me! I on the other hand...went out side to help Jeff with the fence at 5 am and fell in our neighbors' driveway! OUCH! So, now my back, and leg hurt from the fall and I have bruses to prove it! LOL I did go to work, but had already planned on staying home today with Jeff and Julian. Jeff is on vacation this week. And even if he was working, I would have made him stay home...yes I am a baby!

We had a trama yesterday...Jeff's beloved bird, Oliver broke his leg...yes it is broken...he has a cast on it and I am hoping to post a picture soon. The poor bird looks so funny. SO that is it for now. I will keep you all posted!

I spoke to his birth mother today...first time is 4 months. She is doing well...I would like to keep the distance as much as possible. It was nice chatting with her.

Another Great weekend!

Wow we had another great weekend! Julian was at my mom's from Friday till Sunday. He loves going to Nana's house...we have this song that we (I) sing before we go and he laughs and kicks...it is really cute. carol We had a party on Saturday night, we had our neighbors and some friends over for a nice relaxing party. It was alot of fun. We useto invite over 100 people but this year we cute down big time...it was nice and not too big...about 25-30 people were there. So on Sunday we slept in and I picked him up at 11ish...my mom said to him..."if you mother doesn't come by 11:15am...I get to keep you forever!" Well I showed up at 11:13am!! LOL we were all cracking up.

We went to church last night...my best friends' daughter was being baptised she is 7 and she was so cute. We don't baptise until you are older and know that you want to turn your life over to the lord. so it was really sweet. of course I was crying. I will post pictures tonight. Julian was so good...he is always good. Everyone was raving about him...It is nice to finally have people talk about OUR baby.

This is super cool...I am talking to my brother in Iraq...it is so cool. They have this instant messenger service. Very Cool! So I am sending a care package out this week to him.

Snow Day...

Well as I was getting ready for work today I looked out side and noticed the weather was getting bad...I continued on and got the car packed and Julian in his car seat, started on my way...and I began to slip and slide everywhere! I was wondering where this weather was coming from. This was the first time I had driven in the car with Julian and the weather was crappy. So I called mom and told her that he was not coming over and we were going home. Once of the reasons why I quit my old job at the paper and started working for Wells again. To have this freedom to stay home on bad weather days...and that is what I did! We took a few naps, did some work...qualified a few people for mortgages and then daddy came home. I love my job and I love the freedom it gives me. I think Julian likes it too! As I type this daddy is leaning in on Julian who is in the swing and they are both laughing out loud...I love it! Jeff is such a wonderful daddy...I never had a doubt! Julian is 5 and a half months old today...wow!

His rash is getting better on his butt but his belly area is not, so I think I have to take him to the doctors. Remember when he had thrush...the meds they gave him didn't clear it up...it just cleared up on it's own...but I knwo this won't. So it is time to go to the doctors...keep you all posted. SO alot has been going on here this past week and I just noticed I haven't posted anything since last week...Sorry about that to my advid readers! Julian has been wonderful...he has a nasty diaper rash...(yeast infection...yuck!) but it is getting better day by day! He is taking wonderful naps now...2 hour morning nap...I find myself looking for things to do...so I have figured working from home is going to be easier now. We eat and then he sits in his high chair and plays why mommy makes calls...all the while I am getting up and giving him big kisses...then he goes down for a nap...The mornings fly by!

We have our big annual party this weekend, so daddy is getting the menu ready, while mommy cleans...more like finding places to put stuff. Julian will be at Nana and Papa's house nextweekend. They are so excited!

I heard from my brother...he is there safe and sound and starting his mission. I will post pictures when I get them. Thanks for the continued prayers...hugs and blessings

My Brother is on his way to Iraq...

So we had an emotional day today...my big brother left for Iraq for his second tour today. Here are some pictures of our day. We were able to wait at the gate with him until they boarded the plane. It was quite emotional for all. They will be back in Mid May...please keep him and his group in your prayers.

5 months old...

I am sad...he is 5 months today! I can't stand it. He is growing up so fast! But I love to see the new things he does each day. New sounds, more laughter, more smiles and better naps! Last night he slept for 12 hours! He started butternut squash yesterday, so now we have had 2 solids! He loves it all! But 5 months...why does this time go so fast? He is going to roll anyday now... I think he is going to roll from back to stomach before he goes from stomach to back...he is a little chubby...but solid! He is back to his routine of being with Nana and Papa tues-thursday. It is nice to get back on schedule! He likes it too. I know my parents love it! My father took him for a very long walk today...it was so nice out...66 degrees in Buffalo NY in January...go figure! All the christmas lights are down and the house is dark again...I always hate when I take them down.

Eugene went to the vet's today...he had something on his stomach, so we got him in right away. He is fine...very healthy and nothing to worry about! THANK GOD! So that is that! Hugs

Cleaning out!

Yes...for what ever reason Jeff and I both decided to clean the basement...well as much as we can do with an almost 5 month old! I am the queen of those storage boxes...I have about 100 of them in my house! So when we moved from my condo to our 3x bigger house...I packed a ton of my clothes and put them in the boxes...well guess what I have been doing all day...going through boxes of clothes! Man...I am a clothes horse...it is hereditary...my mother and grandmother both are the same way...so I blame it all on them! So I thought I would do 13 boxes...that is good when there is about 20 of them! I kept 3 boxes, and gave away 3 other boxes full of clothes! Threw away a giant black garbage bag full of crap! Man if feels good. I have a headache! But it feels good to get rid of so much! We have plans for the basement. Well it is time for dinner...my little dinner bell is ringing ( julian) Hugs

Today was a busy day for us. We started our day by driving to Elma to deliver a cake for Jeff. Then we went to the supper market and did some shopping for Nana and Papa...dropped off the goods...they were able to see him for a minute...not getting this kid sick! Came home...ate lunch...took a nap and went for a neighborhood visit. Our dear friends Peggy and Dave and their son Alex. Visited with them for a while and then came home had a bottle then took a nap on me. NOw he is in his Jolly Jumper...then dinner then playing then bedtime! So that is our day in a nut shell. Oh...Peggy made home made apple pear sauce...yummy it was so good! It was the first time for Julian to have it. So that was his first real food!!! He loved it! Yummy he said!! New Book...

So...we had a secret ducky for christmas...from one of my favorite boards... and my ducky was Deanna...she was the friend who told me about Baby Wise...and I love that book...so she gave me this one! I am so excited...I saw this author on Oprah and was meaning to get it...and she sent it to me!!! So...this is going to be my new read...Eat...I KNOW how to do that...Pray...I know how to do that and Love...I know how to do that...but I want to see how she does it! It sounds like a great book and I am sooooo Looking forward to reading it! I have a history of not reading or finishing books...but since my little guy came...I read alot! So I will let you know when I am done...If you have read it or are going to read it...lets do an online blog book club what do you think?>??? might be fun!!! Hugs

I can finally breathe...

Well today, we got in the mail, Julian's Birth Certificate!!! It is finally over! No more wondering and waiting. I knew deep down inside that he is ours...but i guess until you get that BC...it isn't offical! Well...what a great way to start the year!

UPDATE: My mom is still very sick. She is going to the doctors tomorrow, if she doesn't go to the hospital tonight. She has been very sick, and I have been telling her to go to the hospital...but she doesn't want to sit in the emergency room with all those sick people...HELLO!!!!! So we will see what happens. Please say a prayer she is better soon. Since she is sick...I get a few more weeks home with Julian. I am able to work from home...thank god for lap tops. I go to the office when Jeff gets home from work. It does make for a long day that is for sure! Tomorrow...I am home all day! I will do some work on the puter and hang out with Julian!!! So please say a prayer for mom...Julian misses his Nana...today she was up to talking to him on the phone...you had to see his little face light up at her voice...it was so cute...it brought a tear to my eyes!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008

Well...we will be staying home today...it is our tradition to go to my parents house...my mom has the flu! YIKES! Pretty bad...so we are home. Get better soon Nana! We miss you!

Don't forget to watch the ICE BOWL...it is in BUFFALO...actually...Orchard Park...and the forcast is prediciting...SNOW!!! and some wind...should be fun! It is only 25 mins. away from us. But we will stay home in the warmth of our fireplace and enjoy our time toether!
