My daily prayer...

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything in prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

To go private or not...

So I have been thinking...should I or shouldn't I...that is the question. So since I have been home sick for going on 3 days now and 2 of them without Julian...mom and dad took him, so I could rest and get better...I have been thinking. I can see who looks at my blog daily...by their locations and IP addresses...that is all well and good, but I still feel like there are people looking on this blog that do not have good intentions. So, if you are a lurker...please post something...so I know who you are...I know some of my friends by their location...out of towners, but locals are a bit harder...I know of on who looks and has posted a nasty unwarranted comment, there for I approve all comments now. (KM) I know that MOST of our lurkers are with good intentions. People who care, people who I talk to in person or on the phone...people I consider friends. So with the next few posts...or ones you have looked at before please stop by and say hi! If you have a blog I would love to add you to my list! So please forward that on too!

This blog was set up to share my daily thoughts. If you don't like what you read...then stop reading this blog. Julian was a blessing from god, and I am so proud to be his mommy.

Well, you know me, I'm a regular here. As far as going private or not, here are some pros and cons:
Pros-
you can REALLY post what you want.
you can put any pictures you want.
You never have to worry about rude comments spoiling your day.
Cons-
You may not get as many comments.
You have to make sure your posts are "politically correct" or you may get rude comments.
Personally, I love having a private blog, but thats just my opinion.

Colette,
I am sorry you have had a bad experience with negative comments. I have a hard time posting personal stuff on my blog. I keep a journal for those thoughts. I started a blog because I liked the idea that A R's BF would read about her. But, we are still waiting so I don't have a lot to say right now. You will decide what is best for you and Julian.

Colette,

You know girl, you shouldn't worry about what people might think If you go private. It's all about your family and what is best for you all!!
I have to say, Julian is looking completely yummy!!
What a cute little man you have there! I can't believe how big he is getting!

Well you know me, I post on Carolyn's Boards (missy). I love reading updates on Julian, he is such a cutie. It's a personal choice whether to go private or not. I'm sorry you got rude comments, this is YOUR blog and if they don't like it, don't read it!

So sorry that you are getting rude comments. You have a right to say what you want, it's YOUR blog! If readers don't like it, don't read it!

I enjoy reading updates on Julian and seeing how happy you are to be a mom.

When I read your post's title, I thought you were considering whether to go the private track again for adoption or work with an agency and I was surprised you would consider an agency... lol!

You know my blog is private. I went private after a friend had a bad myspace experience. I just feel safer knowing who can see my pics & thoughts.

I'm a lurker too. :) I "know" you from Carolyn's boards although I don't really post there either! LOL

I think you should keep your blog public. I also moderate comments so I can delete anything not kind.

Hi Colette!
As you know we decided to go private with our blog...just as a precaution. Hope to see you soon!

Hi I'm Kris, and yes, I'm a lurker. I first became familiar with you through A-STARs yahoo group, and then started reading your blog to see how your adoption journey progressed. After Julian was born, I kept coming back just for updates and to watch him grow-he's just too cute!

I'm a lurker and adoptive mom who just loves reading about your handsome little guy. We were on the adoption treadmill until just recently when we brought home our daughter. I keep our website public but moderate the comments posted (just in case).
